A Fall Affair Interview

First off, could you state your name and what you do in the band.
STEVE: My name is Steve and I play Guitar and do Vocals.
JUSTIN: Hi my name is Justin and I play the drums and I do backup Vocals.
ROB: I'm Rob, and I play Bass and I'm the only one who doesn't scream.

Where does the name A Fall Affair come from?
STEVE: We all just thought of it one day and we all agreed on it.
JUSTIN: Holy shit, I don't even know man.
ROB: Steve said it and I said ok cool.

Who/What are your biggest influences, musically or not.
STEVE: Justin and Rob because they cuddle me and make me feel better when we have a bad show.
JUSTIN: Hmm... I'd have to say Remembering Never and It Dies Today.
ROB: My biggest influences are Unearth and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

How long have you been playing an instrument, and what inspired you to
 start playing?
STEVE: I have been playing for about three years, for as long as we have been a band. I wanted to start playing just to form a band and I thought that guitar would be a challenge.
JUSTIN: Ive been playing for three and a half years in the beginning with Steve. When I saw my friend Ryan playing drums in a local band Tres Bien. (starts making random sounds when Rob is trying to answer his question)
ROB: Ive been playing for about three years. My love of music and boredom inspired me to start playing my instrument.

Who has been your favorite band to play with so far?
(all at once): The Burning Season.

To you, what makes a good live show, and what has your best show been?
STEVE: Moving around the stage as best I can and playing the best as possible. We played a local show once with another local band and all our friends were there and we just had kids dancing the whole entire set and got asked for an encore.
JUSTIN: Playing the best that you can. And the best show would have to be with The Burning Season.
ROB: The more that kids get into it, the better the show. I would say that our best show for me would be our first show because it was the first time i got to feel that adrenaline rush of playing in front of people.

How long have you guys been playing together?
STEVE: Me and Justin have been playing for a little bit longer than all three of us, but it's about three years.
 JUSTIN: About three years.
ROB: With each other for about four years, but as a band three.

Do you have any pre show rituals?
STEVE: I just like to listen to brutal music to get me pumpeeeeeed.
 JUSTIN: Dance!!!
ROB: Um..just not to practice our set the day of the show, it's bad luck.

Have any labels shown any interest?
 STEVE: Not yet.
 JUSTIN: Not yet...but hopefully soon.
ROB: No, but we are definitely looking. (crying)

Do you have any full lengths out? If so, how can someone obtain one.
If not, when will you be releasing a full length?
STEVE: Right now we are trying to get our EP out and we are going to try to start writing new material and have a full length out by the end of this year. We do have T-Shirts, buttons, and stickers for sale at shows and off our .com site through our Pay Pal.
JUSTIN: Unfortunately we don't have one out right now but by the end of '06 people's teeth with be falling out. I'd like to quote Chris from Sam Ash on that.
ROB: All you patient people wait a little longer it will be worth it.

What do your recording and touring schedules for 2006 look like?
STEVE: We don't have any recording plans but hopefully we can tour over summer.
JUSTIN: Hopefully a very long tour cause I'm sick of cleaning cat shit and walking dogs.
ROB: We will be finishing our EP and we are definitely touring over the summer.

If you could play with any three bands, past or present, who would they
 be?
STEVE: Parkway Drive, August Burns Red, The Acacia Strain.
JUSTIN: Remembering Never, August Burns Red, and Bury Your Dead.
ROB: Through The Eyes of the Dead, Between The Buried and Me, and Gwar
