First off, can you state your name and what you do in the band?
Arthur- Guitar
Cameron - Vocals + Keyboards

From what I understand, you guys just started off as a joke band, how did that come about?
Arthur - my friend pat wanted to start a band along the lines of horse the band and I was doing two other serious bands at the time so he convinced me to jam with him and we sort of asked our friends to join.

What made you guys decide to make a real band out of this?
Arthur - We started playing a lot more shows and our local draw was starting to pick up. Also I wanted to tour full time and my other bands couldn’t really do that.

Were you a full band when you released your first 3 song demo?
Arthur - Yes, but we went through numerous amounts of line up changes before and after we did that.

The change in dynamic and overall song structure improved tremendously from your demo to your full length, how did that evolve?
Arthur - When I joined this band my skill level was higher then everyone, so when we started playing together we all progressed a lot more.

Where does your band name come from and does it have any real meaning?
Arthur - We just wanted something original, no we don’t get all the girls!
Cameron - None of us are even arsonists.

You have already completed 5 tours already in your fairly new existence, how has the touring experience been so far? How have the fans been treating you?
Arthur: It has been amazing especially for booking it all on our own. Each tour has been progressively better. This upcoming summer tour with Elysia and Knights of the abyss is the first tour being booked by an agency.
Cameron: All the touring has been amazing and everyone has been really nice and supportive.

Do you have any fun or interesting tour stories yet?
Cameron: Alabama haha

How did you hook up with Process records?
Arthur: Pretty much our friend Joel was trying to help us get a cd out and now he is becoming more serious about his label. We definitely wouldn’t be here right now if it wasn’t for him.

You are heading out soon for the Captain America is Dead tour, how did this come about and what are you guys expecting?
Cameron: we've known both bands for awhile now and the agency that's booking the tour asked us to join them and we were more than happy to go on tour with them. I think every night is going to be awesome and full of joy and joyness.

Every song on Hits from the Bow is so unique, how was the writing process for this album?
Arthur: I pretty much wrote half the album a week before we recorded, the other half of the songs we have been playing for half a year live.

Are you guys writing any new material yet, and when do you think we can expect a new album?
Arthur: We just finished recording our brand new cd with Zach Ohren up in Oakland. Our album "The Game of Life" should be out in August on a label soon to be announced.

I see that a lot of newer bands are your influences, are there any older bands that affect your style of music as well?
Arthur: We pretty much listen to everything, everyone listens to different music.

What bands are the members of AGATG listening to at the present time?
Arthur: Here is what is normally played in our van: Dredg, Incubus, The Faceless, Dream theater, MXPX, Taking Back Sunday, Dying Fetus, etc.

What is the scene currently like in Santa Cruz?
Arthur: its a lot of younger kids now, its constantly growing and changing. We always love playing at home and without them we wouldn’t be here.

If you could tour with any band's past or present, what would your dream tour be?
Cameron: The Faceless, Animosity, MXPX, Taking Back Sunday

Well those are all the questions we have for now, thank you so much for taking the time to speak with us today. Any last words?
Arthur: Thank you. We enjoyed it.
Cameron: Charlie the Unicorn is awesome.
