Aiden- Nightmare Anatomy (Victory) Released October 4, 2005

I like music. It’s fun and makes things more interesting. Like what you might say? Like life, or death, or whenever you might be listening to it. With that said, here is a new band added to the Victory line up. Straight out of South Central, oh wait, I mean Seattle, is this depressing cities own Aiden. They look Like AFI and My Chemical Romance, and sound like, oh yes, My Chem and Thrice. They have been compared a lot to AFI, but they really do not sound like them. They compare just in the homoerotic goth look with AFI (which are a very good and original band). This does sound a lot like My Chem’s first disc with a bit of Thrice's technical, fast picking guitar riffs. Personally I like this album. It’s catchy, well produced, and the sound is overall interesting. The topics discussed on this album are a little like AFI's, but also like MCR, so it's hard to dignify what sort of rip off you want to describe them as. It's not a bad thing, it's just that its been done before. If you love MCR or Thrice, you will love this. If you don’t, then you will hate this. One plus is that you will find the first word of the name of this album in every song so let me add, if you love the word NIGHTMARE, you will also love this album.
