The Black Dahlia Murder show on October 21st appeared promising with such openers as Into the Moat, Cephalic Carnage, and of course Between the Buried Me. It all started with Into the Moat coming out in all their grindcore glory. Immediately the crowd was moving, people were floor punching, spin kicking and screaming till no end. After their far too short set was over Cephalic Carnage came out. Now they're some old guy death metal kind of band and no one knew of them so everyone just stood and watched and waited. Finally after 30 minutes of noise Between the Buried and Me came out to screaming fans. The guitarist had an inflamed disc in his back and played the whole tour sitting down, but never let us down. They started with "All bodies" slammed immediately into "Alaska" and didn’t stop the excitement even after the last song. No one could believe how amazing they were. After they were finished and thanked everyone for coming despite the hurricane and swore to return. It was then Black Dahlia Murders turn. They had a back drop of palm trees and played Bahamas music and wore Hawaiian shirts. We were excited to see what they were up to. Black Dahlia Murder started with wailing guitars riffs and blast beats sending the crowd into a crazed frenzy of hardcore dance moves I’ve never seen before. They didn’t let down at all. Once they ended and said goodnight everyone stood around begging for and encore, and they gave us one more song. During this last song a few people stage dived into the crowds face. But even with the chaos you couldn’t take your eyes off that stage. The bands all were amazing. It was definitely a show that I would love to see again.
