Blinded Black - Under the Sunrise (SideCho Records)

A few weeks ago I got a package in the mail from Side Cho Records, opened it up, took a look at the CD inside (Blinded Black) and immediately cast it aside for the time being as it seemed to be some generic radio rock band from a label I had never heard of. Well, never judge a book, or a CD rather, by it’s cover. Blinded Black play a catchy combination of Post Hardcore/Screamo/Pop Punk. I know, that sounds generic, but they have what it takes to make a name for themselves. They incorporate catchy sing a long choruses, decent breakdowns, and a healthy dose of keyboards. At times I think older Senses Fail meets a synthesizer. Tracks like “Death is Never Permanent”, “Set in Stone”, and “Can You Hear Me Now” demonstrate the orchestra of sounds beautifully. Seeing as this release doesn’t hit the streets for almost two months, check them out here: Blinded Black. Don’t make the same mistake I made. Give this CD a chance and you will be pleasantly surprised.
