Boys Night Out - Boys Night Out (Ferret)

Generally a band will put out a self titled album as a debut effort to define the bands sound. Well after several full lengths and a ton of touring establishing their name and defining thier sound, Boys Night Out have finally put out a self titled album. The follow up to Trainwreck, Boys Night Out have returned to pick up where they left off. With tons of catchy guitar hooks, quirky bass lines, and solid drumming, this is everything you have come to expect from Boys Night Out. The production is solid and clear, and it's great to hear original drummer Ben Arseneau back in the mix.. With this effort, they kept on the path they went for Trainwreck and went with more of the pop punk and less of the hardcore. Nonetheless, this is a good album to just pop in and dance too.   The band slows it down on "Fall For The Drinker" which has a bit of a creepy vibe to it, but then pick right back up with the "Apartment". a catchy/super melodic jam.  Unlike Trainwreck, this record doesn't focus as much on love lyrically, rather hitting subjects like drinking and doing drugs.  Overall this is a solid disc that won't disappoint.  Check this out, and then check out BNO on tour.
