Burden of a Day - Pilots & Paper Planes (Blood & Ink) Released May 9, 2006

Burden of a Day are a band I have been saying are going to make it big ever since I saw them play at a college show last fall. After seeing them live I picked up their demo and have been a fan since. Pilots & Paper Planes is their debut full length out on Blood & Ink Records. A strong release featuring twelve tracks of fast, aggressive music. People are going to try to lump this CD in with both the screamo and metalcore genres, but it doesn’t fit in either. It should just be classified as good music. From the opening track “For Tomorrow We Die” until the end of “Lost in The Shuffle” is a lot of chugging riffs, breakdowns, double bass, and passion filled screams. Don’t shun these guys because they have strong Christian values. Embrace the fact. One of the few Cds now a days that you will see clock in over 40 minutes and not one second disappoints. Standout tracks are “No Blood No Foul”, “Anatomy of a Scene”, and “Cupid Missed His Mark”. Pick up this CD. You will not be disappointed.
