Escape the Fate - There’s No Sympathy For The Dead (Released May 23, 2006) Epitaph Records

Here for you is a young band out of Las Vegas releasing their first EP. It would be easy to just discount this and toss it to the side, for it sounds very similar to a lot of bands that are making it big now a days. I could most definitely compare this to Aiden, My Chemical Romance, Thrice and everyone would buy it and love it.  There are plenty of soaring guitar riffs, heavy breakdowns, double bass kicks, and screaming and growling to please any metal head. On the other hand, this EP is also very melodic and catchy with plenty of clean singing and choruses to delight your lighter side of the spectrum. I could tell you right now that these guys could be really big or thrown away. The scene kids will decide. As for my own opinion, I like it and would love to see how they progress. For fans of Across Five Aprils, Bullet For My Valentine, A Day to Remember.
