Folly are about as unique as it gets. They fuse together two genres that one would never expect to be brought together. Ska and metalcore. No, they aren’t traditional ska. There aren’t any horns, but the guitar work makes you believe that you’re listening to Sublime at times, and then all of a sudden, you’re hit with screaming. It’s incredible. Standout tracks on this record are “Discussion is for the pigs” and “Serenity Now”. There is nothing that this band can’t do. The ska elements, breakdowns, double bass, and a healthy dose of clean singing and screaming. You can’t beat it. After listening to this records, you won’t know how you want to dance, rather it be skanking or hardcore dancing. Folly are pure genius. When you’re done with this record, go check out their newest release, “Resist Convenience” which is also on Triple Crown Records.
