For The Fallen Dreams - Changes

One of the new signings to Rise Records, For The Fallen Dreams offer a breath of fresh air to the hardcore scene. With the melodic side of hardcore in vein of Misery Signals and the vocal ferocity of (Mat Bruso era) Bury Your Dead, For The Fallen Dreams have crafted a solid album. The albums starts off with a slower track - Brothers in Arms, but then picks up the brutality in New Beginnings. For hardcore, this album creates some pretty catchy riffs and well written lyrics. Tracks that really set this record for me are tracks like Hopeless with its monster breakdowns and gang chants and Vengeance, the heaviest track on the album. At times the comparisons to both Misery Signals and Bury Your Dead really stand out, but are easy to overlook and enjoy this album for what it is. Overall this is a solid record that should see quite a few plays from me. It’s one of the more enjoyable hardcore albums I’ve heard recently.
