If you haven’t noticed, the majority of our material deals with metal. Well, not anymore. The new cd by Greeley Estates, Far From The Lies has completely blown me away. This cd is packed with so much emotion and pure energy. The screams will at times make you think underOATH, and then they will bust out a breakdown. It’s crazy. The guitar work of Dallas Smith and Brandon Hackenson is fantastic. They aren’t afraid of diversity. With all of the screaming, chugging guitar and breakdowns, they slow it up with the acoustic track Secret. It is one of the better acoustic tracks I’ve heard in a long time. This is a cd that should be enjoyed by everyone. There are too many sub-genres now a days and it gets really annoying. Bands like Greeley Estates are good. People will say this is both pop rock and screamo. Don’t listen to a band because of its label, listen to a band to expand your closed mind. Pick up this cd. It is definitely worth the money and will make you see music in a completely different way.
