Create Avoid - Heart Remains (Pure Noise)
How can you go wrong when an album starts with a gang chant? You can't. From
the first note of Tyranny until the last note of Heart Remains, Create Avoid
are here to be noticed in the hardcore world. Clocking in right around
thirty minutes, the debut album from the Riverside, Ca natives, Create Avoid
spit out eleven tracks of foot stomping, pit opening, aggressive hardcore.
Heart Remains is full of anthems that will have you believing in yourself
and living your life the way you want to. Mike Alsaybar's harsh vocals mixed
with a positive message will ironically enough beat the posi into you. The
guitar work will always have you grooving, whether it be heavy chugging or
fast paced riffs that would induce circle pits galore. Drummer Steve Reese
tears up the skins and will have you two stepping in no time. While there is
nothing groundbreaking musically on Heart Remains, the band is very good at
what they do. While they play along the lines of Stick To Your Guns and
Comeback Kid, Heart Remains also pays homage to the legends like Sick Of It
All and Madball. Create Avoid create their own brand of aggressive and
melodic hardcore and the future holds nothing but good things for the band.
