The Human Abstract - Nocturne (Hopeless)

There are so many bands that try to fuse every genre into one song. There are even more bands that try to mix a ton of genres onto one disc. There are so many bands that fail. The Human Abstract are not one of those bands. This release is absolutely flawless. Starting off with an acoustic guitar on the opening track “Harbinger”, the track progresses through a myriad of sounds and it is all done beautifully. The singing and screaming are both great and balance each other well. Another band that is noticeably great at this is Between the Buried and Me. Nocturne is twelve tracks of pure progressive metal mayhem. The guitar work is fantastic, both the acoustic work and electric, as well as the jazzy bass and phenomenal drumming.. This album brings life back into the Hopeless Records roster that has been unnoticed for the past few years. Every track on this record is fantastic. Check out The Human Abstract if your into bands like Between the Buried and Me and Protest the Hero.
