The Chariot - The Fiancé (Solid State)

After what seems like forever and a few line up changes, The Chariot are back with their second full length The Fiancé. Although only their third release, this is by far the best album that The Chariot have put out and is Josh Scogin’s best vocal output since he was still in Norma Jean. This album has everything from choirs singing to harmonicas to Scogin letting out a few Jonathan Davis esque screams/growls. The clean and feedback free sound on this album set this album apart from the last few releases. Although the sound is cleaner and more organized, the brutality is still there. Clocking in at just under thirty minutes, this album does lack some substance and leaves the listening wanting more. There are a lot of songs on this album that could have been so much more, seeing as most of them are under three minutes. Despite the short length, this is still a solid record. Check this out if you are into their older material, Norma Jean, and getting dirty.
