The Agony Scene/The Black Dahlia Murder/ Throwdown

This show was supposed to have The Red Chord on the bill as well, but their van broke, so it was just the three bands.

I had previously seen The Agony Scene and this time was nowhere near as good as last.  They had the presence and energy, but the singer just sounded off.  He just didn't seem to have the shriek that he usually has.

The Black Dahlia Murder were probably the most brutal band I have ever seen.  There was not one second that I was not getting hit from behind or getting kicked in the head by crowd surfers.  They put on one of the most energetic performances that I have seen.  Playing songs from both Unhallowed and Miasma.  I actually enjoyed their live show more than their cd.

Throwdown was the reason I was there.  I was not disappointed.  The song selection wasn't what I had hoped, but their performance was great.  Heavy breakdowns, non stop screaming, fist pumping action.  At one point in their set, they even covered a Pantera song.  They closed the show with Forever and did not play an encore.  Overall, amazing show.
